Caring for your Resin Art

Your artwork has been finished with Art Resin, a nontoxic resin.  It’s BPA free and approved for incidental food contact by the FDA. As with any wood serving bowl or tray, we don’t recommend serving hot liquids in it, immersing it in hot water or running it through the dishwasher, but it’s fine to put dry foods or hot mugs on the resin surface. It's not a good idea to use the resin as a cutting board or set a hot pot onto it, but you can treat it as you would treat a wood tabletop.   You can read more about it at artresin.com.

The surface of your resin art can be cleaned with glass cleaner or isopropyl alcohol; or with mild dish soap and water if you’re using it to serve food.  If you are moving your resin art, do not use bubble wrap or other plastics against the resin surface - butcher paper or glassine paper is the safest way to wrap it.

All artwork is safest away from outdoor light or extreme temperatures. Don’t hang your resin artwork outdoors, or store your tray outside.

The resin surface is very durable, and I hope you will enjoy it for many years! I used it to refinish my kitchen table, and it has held up extremely well to daily use by my three small children.  Please contact us with any questions.
