My Fluid Landscapes were inspired in part by my work in a genetics lab.
Science and Art
My husband and I are both scientists by training, and we work together on developing new techniques in our garage. I’m proud of inventing the Aura method for making patterns in resin using magnetic fields.
My Fluid Landscapes paintings were inspired by my forestry work up north, but also from reading PCR data in the genetics lab in graduate school. I incorporate some of my favorite lab equipment into my resin work, including an orbital shaker, micro pipette, magnetic stir plate and lab stand.
